Gift
Shop
The
Gift Shop offers works of art in clay, wood, jewelery and
paintings from local artists
Arts and crafts of all descriptions and all price ranges are available
for stress-free shopping. Why fight mall traffic and crowds only
to come away with a ho-hum gift, when you could give an original
work of art instead? More than 30 local and regional artists have
brought their creations to the gallery. You will find many distinctive
treasures for everyone on your gift list this year, including:
note cards and holiday greeting cards; functional and decorative
ceramics by 10 different artists - even wonderful garden pottery;
matted or framed photographs, watercolors, oil paintings, pen
and ink and colored pencil drawings; gift baskets; painted wine
glasses; painted gourds in holiday and other designs; unique Christmas
stockings; ornaments of all types, including Nicholson hand blown
glass, whose creations hang on the White House Christmas tree
(they will also offer plates, platters and vases). Here you will
find unique wearable art too: many types and styles of jewelry,
including dichroic and stained glass; hand painted silk and woven
scarves, and unusual purses made of books. From the small stocking
stuffers or decorations, to the larger, elegant gifts, the Lincoln
Arts Holiday Shoppe has them all in one festive location. Members
and friends are encouraged to come in and complete their gift
list, helping not only themselves and the artists, but Lincoln
Arts as well.
Can't find just the right item for that hard-to-buy-for friend?
A membership to Lincoln Arts makes a wonderful gift. The recipient
will receive the full color quarterly newsletter, invitations
to events, discounts at the gift shop and at many events, and
the knowledge that their gift is helping provide art shows, music,
and cultural programs that enrich their community all year long.
Calling
All Artists and Artisans
Lincoln
Arts is seeking photo submissions for original works by artists
and artisans for consignment to our Christmas Shoppe that will
run from November 2 - December 18, 2009. Submissions must be received
by October 30, 2009. Lincoln Arts Gallery Committee will jury
the entrants and select the works to be included in the show.
The
Christmas Shoppe will offer works of art in diverse media for
sale this coming holiday season. We are seeking gift items as
well as holiday-themed items. All media are welcome including,
but not limited to, pottery, wood, jewelry, paintings, fabric
arts, metal work and blown glass.
Interested
artists and artisans are requested to submit color photos that
are representative of their work, background material and the
sales price range. The artist will receive 65% of sales with Lincoln
Arts receiving a 35% sales commission. Sales tax is charged on
all items. The suggested price range is from $10-$200 as this
appears to be the local buying range. Items priced under $75 are
more likely to sell.
Selected
artisans may also have the opportunity to carry products for sale
in the Lincoln Arts gift shop where original works are for sale
year round.
Mail
or hand-deliver your photos and other requested materials between
10-4 PM Tuesdays through Friday
for further information, call Joan Jordan or June Reeves at (916)
